Just a quick photo update. I finished knitting and felting the Mercury Bag from KnitKit.com. This will be going to my recipient from the KnitExchange Yahoo! Group. It was originally meant to be a laptop bag, but it ended up a wee bit too small I think. I'm also not 100% happy with the way the flap felted sort of uneven, but it doesn't look BAD, just not the way I planned.

If anyone is interested, I just listed a bunch of things over at my Etsy shop. Take a look, and pass on the word to anyone else who might be interested.

So, the new Knitty came out when? Just a few days ago. Not only have I already started something from it, but I've actually finished it also! Here's a pic of Topi, knit in Lion Brand Cotton Ease. It looks MUCH better on me than it does on this sad manikin head, but hey, what're ya gonna do right?
And, here is the yarn that was hanging to dry. 590 yards, 13.5 oz of worsted weight, 12 WPI 100% Merino. Not sure what I'm going to do with it just yet though. Any thoughts?

So, my sister's birthday was March 2nd. I DID remember, but I have yet to get her anything. I just haven't seen her. She's coming over today for Easter, so, in a frantic craze, I went to the mall on Friday to find her something. Of course I could find nothing that would have been good. I ended up getting her some little toy figures of characters designed by Tim Burton, whom she loves. But, I kept thinking that I wanted something more. I was surfing the web Friday night, and found THIS PATTERN and thought, Hey, that would be great if I could actually finish it. Well, 24 hours later, and just in the nick of time, it's done. Personally, I don't think I would ever use one, but I know that she will.

I finished the Kitty Bed that I was knitting. It took me a while to do it, but once I sat down and got "in the groove" I managed to get through it pretty quickly. Felting it was easier than I thought also. I just ran it through one hot wash/cold rinse cycle, and it came out the right size. Here's a pic of it. One of my cats stepped into it, sniffed it, and walked around it circles, then stepped out. I think she'll like it eventually…I hope anyway.
