So, in addition to doing the EDM challenges, I’ve decided to (try to) start keeping a visual journal. Sometimes it’ll be more visual, sometimes more textual. Sometimes, it may not make much sense to anyone other than myself, but that’s ok Here’s the first entry.

Since the drawing class I took last semester, I’ve been doing a lot of reading about drawing. The biggest thing I’ve learned is that you really can’t learn all that much about drawing by just reading, so I’m trying to draw more often. I joined the Everyday Matters group, and am going to work my way through the weekly challenges, starting right here, at week one. Challenge 1 is to draw a shoe. This is one of my sneakers, in graphite, on Bristol paper.
